FAQ and Studio Policies
How do I book a session?
Massage is by appointment only. Please visit our scheduling page to book an appointment, or email Stacy directly at stacykroghlmt@gmail.com.
Where are you?
I see clients in two locations: during the week in my home in Bethesda, Maryland near Little Falls Parkway, where there is easy street parking; and on Saturdays in downtown Bethesda at 8218 Wisconsin Ave., where there is free public parking off of Woodmont Avenue directly across the street from the back entrance of the building.
What does it cost?
Please see our pricing page to see the options for session lengths and cost.
How much time should I allow?
A typical 60-minute appointment includes one hour of hands-on massage plus 15 minutes for discussion. For your first appointment, please allow an additional 15 minutes so we have time to talk together about your Health Intake and your goals for the session.
What if I'm early or late?
I’ll be ready to greet you 10 minutes before your appointment time if you’re a bit early; before that I’m likely to be with another client. If you are late for a session, don’t panic! We will begin when you arrive and end at the scheduled time. The fee will be the same as for the session you scheduled.
What if I can't make my appointment?
Please honor my 24-hour cancellation policy; your appointment time is set aside just for you. Appointments cancelled within 24 hours will be subject to full price charges.
Do you work with clients under 18 years of age?
Yes, I enjoy working with teenagers and younger children. Clients under the age of 18 require written permission from a parent or guardian to receive massage. Parents/guardians are welcome to be present for their child’s massage session.
Will you share my information?
I treat all information shared during a session as strictly confidential, to be divulged only with your written consent or as mandated by law. With your permission, I welcome the opportunity to discuss your situation with your health practitioner (i.e., physical therapist, chiropractor, osteopath, internist...)
Communication and Concerns
The best treatment comes from open communication between therapist and client, and your comfort level is of the greatest importance.
If at any point you feel uncomfortable, either emotionally or physically, please voice your concerns immediately, and know you have the power to stop the session at any time.
If I feel any of your behavior is inappropriate, I also have the right to stop the session.
What professional standards are you held to and what agency licenses you?
I am licensed by the Maryland Board of Chiropractic and Massage Therapy under the Maryland State Department of Health and Mental Hygiene (DHMH). Licenses are renewed every two years, including a requirement for continuing education, so you know you are always receiving the most up-to-date treatment available. If you have a concern, you may contact the Board here.
If you have any questions at all, please don’t hesitate to ask. I look forward to working with you!
